Ever Wonder Where All Those Churches Came From?

Posted on September 4, 2013 at 10:42 AM CST

There's one God and one Bible which says there is one church and one truth.  So does it make sense that there are 38,000 different churches, all contradicting one another in some way or another on the proper way to worship God?  If you wonder where all of these different churches came from, if you don't know a lot about the church you attend, and if you want to understand what the scriptures has to say about all of the man-made creeds and doctrines of these denominations, then you need to watch this video.  (It's only 26 minutes, and it's free!)

Does God Recognize Same-Sex Unions?

Posted on September 4, 2013 at 9.16 AM CST

You have heard a lot lately pertaining to homosexual marriage. This "hot-button" topic has been covered by media organizations worldwide as the population of humanity advocating this trend continues to increase. The U.S. Supreme Court has recently ruled against the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act. But should the popularity of today's trends define what is morally right?  Since marriage is an institution created by the omniscient God of heaven, it's only logical that we seek His stand on this issue.  Check out this short video on the topic.

Free Chart Explaining The Ten Commandments

Posted on September 9 2013 at 2:38 PM CST

A common misconception is that we still live under the Ten Commandments today.  What some do not realize is that we live under the commands of the New Testament today.  (Hebrews 8:6-13)  When Jesus died on the cross, the new covenant went into effect.  Some try to live under the Old and New Testaments at the same time, but the Bible tells us that (while the Old Testament is useful to us to understand why we need salvation) we are to live under the new law.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law

were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.  But now we have been

delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should

serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall

we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have

known sin except through the law.  (Romans 7:5-7)

The teachings of the New Testament tell us many commands to keep, and many of the original ten commandments (from the Old Testament) were reiterated in the teachings of the New Testament.  So we are still required to keep many of the Ten Commandments.  However, some Old Testament commands differ from those of the New Testament.  For example, we are no longer required to remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy.  We are told that, under the new covenant, Christians met and worshiped on the first day of the week.  Click here to download the poster.
